Local, grass fed, well rendered. It should smell clean, not funky. Know where the tallow is sourced and how it is made!
2️⃣ Know your carrier oils
Jojoba, rosehip, argan… they each work differently. Get to know what your skin needs. Jojoba is the overall winner for me!
3️⃣ Don’t overdo it
Tallow is rich. A tiny dab is usually enough, especially for your face. Using too much can cause clogging.
4️⃣ Always hydrate first
Mist or damp skin underneath equals glow. Otherwise, it can feel too heavy. I put my serums or a rose water on before.

Rendering is the process of slowly melting down beef fat to separate the pure tallow from water, proteins, and impurities.
